This show is poorly executed and unexciting. The sets and backgrounds look great and that’s why it gets 1 star, the soundtrack is forgettable, the acting has been underwhelming every character lacks range beyond grumpy elf or brooding protagonist. The only potential saving grace is the small comedic moments from the dwarves. Casting is okay but none of the performances will blow anyone away. The costume design looks dreadful, a lot of the armour looks like cardboard. I can live with short hair on elves but why do they all look like 80's romcom antagonists The story felt like it could have been setting up to something good from the first two episodes but every episode since is the same boring theme played out in a different setting. If this was an original IP then you could argue it maybe deserves 3 stars however there's no excuse to make something so underwhelming with the budget and pedigree that comes from Amazon and having the LOTR universe to play with.
