I love FFXIV. Shadowbringers and Endwalker were master classes in storytelling. Going into DT, I had been hoping for a more laid back expansion in terms of no apocalypse-level threat looming over our heads. Unfortunately, the monkey's paw curled and Dawntrail has eschewed depth and engaging stories for garish cartoony/comedic gags and fetch quests. That being said, anything not related to story is good. But this expansion feels like it was written by a completely different studio with a lack of experience.
