One of the most beautiful, wistful, and touching television shows I've ever watched. A charming story of a widow and her children living on the Greek island of Corfu, a warm respite from the cares of the modern world. This is not heavy watching but light and refreshing. The writing is excellent, the dialogue clever, the acting exceptional and the aesthetic appeal supreme. If you take note of the cinematography and the color composition of each scene, you will realize this is a production born of love and great attention to detail. The soundtrack is transcendent! I've watched this series twice with my wife and it brought tears to my eyes on multiple occasions from the sheer beauty of it all. A masterpiece that I wish went on longer.
