I thought the documentary was fantastic. Charlie Sheen really put himself out there by talking about the highs and lows of his life. His addiction, family, his mistakes, illness, sexual exploits, etc. It felt like an unfiltered, honest glimpse of his life. Sean Penn, two exwives, best friend, Todd, Jon Cryer and Chuck Lorre and Ramon Estevez commentary really provided insight. I really am rooting for Charlie that he stays sober and has a comeback. I was a but surprised by some reviews saying he was narcissistic. I did not feel that vibe from him at all.

This movie is so much more than a traditional Rom-Com. It was a movie that had such wonderful characters. Elle Kemper was great in the lead as the woman trying to find herself after her divorce. As she embarks on a group camping trip, she finds strength, courage, new friendships and resilience within herself. She learns to acknowledge the events within her childhood that had shaped her. The movie is not so light hearted as there are some challenges to face in the future, but she learns to smile and laugh and allow love to enter her life, again. Luke Grimes was fantastic as the romantic interest. And the poem by Pablo Neruda( I had to look it up) was such a moving gift to hear.

I love how down to earth Drew Barrymore is. When she is moved to tears , I am moved to tears. Just watching her convey her real, raw and honest emotions reminds me how really connected we are . We all have those emotions within us . Her show is funny and inspiring .
