If you're a fan of the original Ray Bradbury book DO NOT WATCH. There were two scene that actually happened in the book. I read the book and was excited to see there was a movie made. I have read Mazerunner and Hunger Games plus watch those movies and where happy with how they were close to the books( not perfect but still close to the books and well done). So when I went to watch the movie I had high hopes. Not reading the reviews I was going in blind. It had let me down so badly. All the actors did great in the movie no hate to them, but the movie was bad just straight bad. If you want a Science fiction movie then go watch it but if you read and liked the book then don't. They butchered the book and was nothing, 0% like the original. So much source material and a great story but they decided to make something COMPLETELY different. Bad movie if you have ever read the book. Not worth the watch.
No movie will follow a book completely but this fell flat and wasn't even close to the book. I can see how some people can say that changing the plot could help but I just don't. Like I said the casting was great and fit most of the details that were said in the book. I was expecting and excited to see Mildred and Faber and how they were done but there weren't there. I also wanted to see Clarisse and Montag in their “ father, daughter, relationship" (in my mind) but that was VERY different. Montag and her are actually a "thing" in the movie. I was sad to see that that wasn't there and same with Faber and Mildred.
The movie was okay if you don't think to heavily on " this and that are different " from the book. It okay, just okay, the actors did great but I was sad in how it ended and felt it was kind of flat sort of. All in all was meh, wouldn't watch it again and not going to
recommend to friends.
