I'm just going to put this out here because I see all the fond remembrances of the series being 'spot on' and 'razor sharp' and I disagree. It wasn't always spot on and it wasn't always razor sharp and it left me hanging a number of times on a number of different plot lines, however, yes it was a fun and well done series nonetheless.
If I have to complain about anything in *The Many Saints*, it has to be bending over backwards to tell the story alongside an underdeveloped black gangster story. Not all things have to go through the black perspective and here it goes nowhere. In fact it's kind of pointless by the end of the film. So, with wasted energy on stuff like that, you lost time and goodwill in developing a stronger backbone for this 2 hour project. Now, if you'll forgive me, I'll head back to my armchair where I'm harmless most of the time.
