It's literally a blood soaked film with a script made up of every single cliche you can think of. The "dramatic pauses" were so long, it made the characters seem dim whitted. They threw in everything to make you feel something, anything, for completely under developed characters that basically checked all the socially acceptable cues and had absolutely no chemistry. Their actions seem utterly ridiculous. The movie just moved along clumsily, and whenever they ran into a dead spot, they just made the dramatic scenes absurdly long. Parts were missed for a comedic jab, similar to the alleged source material. Even though I know this was more horror than comedy...allegedly, there was zero comedy or a chuckle in this movie. The sad part is I love and own all the evil dead movies, even the 2013 reboot. This, outside of the easter eggs, necronomicon, and deadites? This movie is a dumpster fire.
