The movie was good, Micheal Fassbender's actoring, the CGI of the alien and just the general sci-fi was amazing however I do have some faults in the plot (SPOILERS AHEAD) 1. After a neutrino bust was detected, Walter could have just told Mother immediately to retract the energy sails. However, he doesn't and WALKS QUICKLY INSTEAD OR RUNNING(i get they are sophisticated androids but come on)and then tells mother to retract the sails later, now this may or may not prevent the captain's death but I am sure the chances of his survival would have increased since less damage would have been done. 2. Maybe listen to Daniels and not 'investigate' a SUS planet. 3. Don't touch the SUS thing when you don't know what it does,it could just release a deadly pathogen into the air that will either kill you or use you as an incubator for a neomorph and then kill you anyway 4.Oram should have gotten SUS of David and not followed him to the ovamorphs,however, he is a human and humans are curious But beside these these reasons (and propablly others) it is a great movie
