He-Man is a franchise that has always been near and dear to my heart. I owned just about every figure, watched the show religiously as a kid, and was so extremely hyped at the thought of this show being redone for 2021. BOY WAS I WRONG. I don't know what's up with this new trend in Hollywood where they take beloved franchises and 💩 all over them (Star Wars), but it seems Netflix pulled a Disney and in an attempt to go woke, ruined the whole thing. First off, the show is a complete bait and switch — there is no He-Man — the whole thing is about a buffed out, man-hating Teela and her lesbian gf trying to save the universe. I'm ok with movies/shows getting political, but trolling your original fanbase for woke points — who did they even think would be excited to watch this? Call it The Adventures of Teela and nobody would have been upset. But pretending this is a TV show about He-Man is straight up dishonest. Honestly, if you don't believe this review, watch the first 2 episodes and see for yourself. Another great 80s franchise ruined for a buck.

Threw this show on for my little nephew thinking it would be lame, but was so incredibly impressed by the production value. Couldn't believe it, but I ended up watching it with him, completely enthralled. Can't recommend enough. This show ROCKS.

Easily one of my top favorite movies of all time. The story, musical score, and artistry is nothing short of perfection.
