Definitely underrated. The traditional Star Trek fanbase just hate anything new so don't pay attention to the negative reviews. The show took time to find it's place but the later episodes are without a doubt some of the best and funniest in the Star Trek franchise and made nice and accessible for people who don't really know much about the show in it's entirety.
