I’m LDS and thought it would be interesting. I rarely walk out of a movie, but I only lasted 20 minutes into this one. The acting was sophomoric at best. Stealing a train was a stretch, especially a fairly modern diesel electric version made at least 30 years after the war. They used almost entirely steam locomotives then. The costumes fit the times. The script glosses over the details required to organize such an effort and emphasizes God will not let them start a war until we accomplish the mission, which is ludicrous on its face. In other words God will let us out and allow 6 million Jews and other “undesirables” to perish under the 3rd Reich. It ignores the fact that Hitler was already at war before going into Poland, have walked into Austria etc etc. It makes no mention of lots of LDS who were inthralled by Hitler and Nazism. This film catered to the unflinching devotion to the missionary program by fellow church members who don’t bother with thinking. The last movie I saw that was worse than this one was Cave Man starring Ringo Starr, but I only wasted 50 cents then. Thank goodness I only wasted 6 bucks on this one. Inflation has a way of making things equal.
