This show was so incredibly convoluted I hope they never make another season. It started off so well, the first episode was amazing. It got increasingly worse, less believable, and less cohesive. Some loose ends: 1. Where is Samuel if he came back with melody? 2. What was the point of the mold, the junkies, or Chris, the suicide? 3. Where is Jess? 4. Why are Dan and mark even friends? Why is Dan such a die hard buddy? Their back story is never explained. 5. Why does Dan even want to save melody? The “finishing my dads work” story is weak af, he doesn’t even know her 6. Why is the demon/god even evil or good? How would he even solve the problems of famine, murder, war etc? They never explain any of it!! We never even really see the “bad guy” of the show. 7. WHO IS THE MAIN CHARACTER? Splitting the main role between melody and Dan is what made this dumb show so poorly focused. I mean I could go on and on. The sheer audacity of how many minute characters they added for no reason. There are so many extraneous ideas that just do not hang together at all. The amount of times someone “woke up from a dream” in this show is absolutely laughable. That said I thought the lighting and cinematography were great and the guy who played Dan was a great actor and did the best he possibly could with this awful, utterly incredible role.
