Was excited to watch something new from Gina but...couldn't make it past 10 minutes. Low class behaviors, sex from the get go and just disappointing. Let's allow those who loved it to enjoy it - I moved on to greener pastures on Netflix.

To those asking for " the point" it would be good to take a look at our own lives as they unfolded. The viewers have the privilege of peeking into a family and its particular dynamic. It clearly points at the social classes in Mexico but the service woman Cleo had the special blessing of being treated as a member of the family with love and appreciation shown most of the time. Cuaron has immortalized his beloved nanny as well as her positive influence in his life. An emotional movie that left me attached to the characters way after the credits rolled in. And the visuals...oh the visuals.
