I loved AC Origins and Odyssey, so Valhalla felt like a let down to me. The dedication to crafting rich worlds that were fairly well rooted in historical reality (for a video game based on assassins at least) wasn’t seen through in Valhalla, and I’d lost hope. I understand changes that must be made for the sake of gameplay, but I had hoped for better than Hollywood’s version of vikings. With that said, Mirage has been a very pleasant surprise. It feels like playing Origins all over again, which is everything I could have wanted. The map is vibrant and exciting. I love the information available on collected artifacts. I’d love the franchise to continue in this way. This should have a far higher rating. Well worth a buy.
