Honestly I feel like this is one of those movies that you watch if you are under the influence of cannabis. If so, this is something you would probably enjoy. Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. You know what I’m talking about, you sly snake, you. There is no character development or any deep emotional magnetism to any of the characters. This is really the only thing that bothered me. I could be ok with the poor cgi and poor voiceovers, but the development of the story felt rushed. I did however love the way it immersed you into some other fantasy world, but I kept getting pulled out by the underdevelopment of the characters. I did not laugh one time, even when I knew they meant for me to. This is probably a byproduct of the rushed feeling the movie had. I’m no critic, just a normal guy that recently turned 30. I’m rating a movie I watched as my wife sleeps, and the kids are at grandma’s house for the weekend. Sipping on a little Jameson, as real critics do, I tell you.. smoke a little reef to give this movie 5 stars.
