This movie is so horrible it’s a comedy. It’s somehow shittier than the soap operas my elderly mother watches. If you’re looking for a good chuckle watch this movie.

Alison brie was a poor choice for this movie. She doesnt fit in with the mundaneness of the characters around her. Shes much too pretty and too confident and happy. As much as she tries to hide it, it doesnt work. Shes a celebrity, and a hot one at that. She does not fit in in a small town. They tried to give her bangs, make her paler, dress her in ugly clothes but it didnt work. She still looks famous and put together. Horrible casting. There were other celebrities in this movie as well that were way too “famous looking” to potray this “small town” of characters. Famous perfect people cant pull off a real emtoional grounded script. Terrible casting. You either go one way or the other. Famous looking people and normal looking people dont mix. It makes no sense. For example, my little sunshine. Amazing movie and everyone looked like they were on the same level. Steve carell fit in, despite his celebrity status (because hes talent and not conventionally attractive). They should have taken this route. Its unfortunate. Could have been great.
