The philosophical underpinnings of this film made it somewhat worth watching but they’re not apparent until the end. I also wish the writing had been better. The plot-holes were… ‘abundant’ to say the least? And it seems the writers did not do a lot of research when it came to the scientific explanations used in this film.
I actually left the room during the part where the child gets pregnant but the idea is rather disturbing. This is why I knocked off yet another star.
The cinematography was wonderful and I really like the concept, I just think it could’ve been executed better. Despite this film not being the best I’ve seen it certainly isn’t the worst either. There were parts I truly enjoyed. I didn’t find myself cringing too much so… I suppose there’s a certain charm to the movie that minimizes the corny acting.
