I think the BBCs goal must always be balance and trutfulnessh , sadly lacking in todays world.
The BBC broadcast endless negative stories in WW2 but they were truthful and that gave them authority and credibility around the world. . Broadcasting 'positive stories' has tended not to work out well when the truth about events came out. .
