This work is an enormous disappointment. A very limited, traditional interpretation which did not take advantage of research over the past 30+ years, especially by the major scholars of Florida history. This is surprising in light of St. Augustine's 450th anniversary in 2015 and the breadth of history accompanying that series of events. A list and short bios of the Charleston exiles is included. Mention is made of their "enslaved servants" that were brought to St. Augustine, too, though they remain nameless.
