I hate to think how much the BBC spent on this and apparently didn't consider getting any military or police advisors. Forgetting the random uniforms, the level on involvement by those in certain ranks, gratuitous use of flash cars. Possibly the biggest BS pill is the pregnant cop chasing armed suspects, climbing multistory buildings being injured repeatedly and all are satisfied she knows best to keep at it.
GI Jane meets taggart meets river city.
Who knew detective chief inspectors were able to take on special forces assasins, outsmart the intelligence services, storm into military control rooms during covert operations etc etc. Oh and can arrest anyone they want at any time in any country.
Honestly it's painful viewing.
