This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. It is a cerebral .thriller, so not to everyone's taste. It is not full of thrills and special effects so a young audience may not be able to appreciate the profound psychological distress of the mother, portrayed by Naomi Watts. This is a tense, edge of your seat thriller as you are transported though the chaotic roller coaster of emotions and desperation a mother would experience during such a trauma. Having worked extensively with trauma patients for many years I can attest to the veracity of the terror the mother and her son are feeling, and this is. beautifully portrayed by Watts.
