Movie by the young writer/director Rojin Thomas is one of the Best in recent Malayalam movies, in several years.
First the story, though simple to many is fully preceptive to only those with acute sensitivity to human behavior. Rojin to write this well and to direct the movie seemingly with such ease has to have the mind of a genius.
One may ask, if not so sensitive and preceptive, what is the big deal in not having the technological savviness. But in reality it was not lack of knowledge of even simple everyday use of phone-based applications, but the constant reminder of being left out from inclusion in everyday life even by family is the underling truth and pain that is revealed.
In addition, children once seeing the parents not so up and up with society belittling the parents. Yes, that indeed is the social cancer of today, worldwide.
While many criticized the psychiatrist and the related segments, I truly see it as added reality of life. While the children could have easily given the father some basic introduction to the everyday technology, it had to come from outside! That is reality.
Also, NOT having any Indian movie plague, of dance was most comforting!
Overall acting was superb, especially of Sreenath, Indrans, Manju, Nalsen and most others were also above standards.
The plot has an issue where K P A C Lalitha tells in her recollection of being unable to find the boys who saved her child. That is farfetched and unrealistic, she being a local and boys were known to the church.
Overall, it was wonderful story, excellent screenplay and superb direction and acting. Very well done Rojin and team.
