Possibly one of the worst films I have ever seen. Was so excited for this as this is my favourite period in history. There are so many historical inaccuracies it’s laughable. The important parts/ moments in his life are missed, done badly or not given the time they truly deserved. The battle scenes may look good and exciting but are historically all wrong. Napoleon was famous for attacking in columns not lines. Not once was that depicted. He made his name as military genius in Austria and Italy not even mentioned. His relationship with the new republic politicians hardly explored and they were so important in making him the man he was. If you want to know about napoleon read Simon Scarrows series on him and wellington. Which are excellent. Save yourself nearly 3 hours and watch something else. Disappointing to say the least.
