As a musician myself, I was struck by how "in-each-other's-pocket" both John and Paul were! One would joke and the other would counter brilliantly, then the former would a follow-up, and it's again so enjoyed by each of them. And it's this way with their instruments and voices as well. The play oldies, or their new ideas, or just jam about so tightly with each other, looking straight at each other and into the other's eyes constantly while playing and creating... It's extraordinary! I also noticed how they never (or rarely) were NOT playing. In between takes, rather than just sit around and chat, they're constantly playing something. The place was all music and all vibes – a tremendously ALIVE musical environment! Fabulous, and affirming as to their greatness.
