If you only ever read one book about the history of first nation Americans, then this is the one. I was amazed and saddened to learn that within a relatively few number of years, almost all of the tribes were exterminated. Promises made by the National government were broken time and again. This book made me weep. The World should learn from history not hide it away because the truth is uncomfortable. Glad I read this.
