I can only say, from reviews I've read, and listened to, in my opinion, even if this movie is love or hated, all I can say is that the only thing this movie taught me, was to love and watch the original Mulan movie all over again. The movie, from what I saw, had elements of environment, a remodeled story, and tons, and I mean, TONS of action.
I won't go on and spew out nonsense of why I don't like this movie, I'm sure the folks at Disney had a hard time sleeping after the wave of hate, but I will say it needs improvement. Or just... and don't @ me, this is just my review... Just stop making remakes of the animated movies we've grown up to love and be inspired from.
And I know someone's going to call me out and say "Well it's Disney, they can do whatever they want" or something like that, and I agree, yes, they can do whatever they want, it's not up to me. but there's just a lot of people I've listened to, that have HATED SO BADLY on this remake, and even the other previous remakes... And I'm sorry that those remakes were shut down so harshly.
But even if you liked the remake, that's not a bad thing, but it's an opinion of your own, and maybe folks will agree with you, but we've grown up to learn that everyone has their own opinion on movies we watch, like the Mulan 2020 remake.
I'm not saying I like or hate the movie. I'm saying the Mulan 2020 remaster brings me back to the original, and why the animated movie about a daughter fighting for her father in the war with a talking dragon, lucky bug, and goofy but beautiful music was such a masterpiece in the first place.
That's all I have to say, but I hope what I've said inspires those reading this review to watch and love the original animated movies all over again.
