There is a physics problem with the story. The story says there is a tank of jet fuel was at the bottom of the 200 foot deep shaft. They bad guys had planned on sucking the jet fuel up to the surface. But, sucking with a vacuum can only suck about 30 feet up. They would have had to lower a pump down to the level of the jet fuel tank and pump the fuel up with pressure not vacuum. See Google search for "pumping height limit via vacuum". Also, the burning jet fuel would have been limited by the amount of oxygen in the shaft. To get that much jet fuel to burn there would have had to be more ventilation shafts. And the air in the ventilation shafts would have had to have forced to move with big fans.
