Such a sweet show. Perfect for children ages 8+ and adults! One of the aspects I really enjoyed about the show is it's flowery yet accurate depictions of issues of the time. Black people existed back then lol, as did lgbtq people and indigenous people. And instead of pretending like they didn't (like many period pieces do) Anne with an E highlights these important characters and their stories. It's a great show for the holidays. I highly recommend curling up with hot cocoa and and watching!

A worthy successor. The show's villains and pro-bending alone make it a must watch. Additionally, although I know some fans don't like the more modern aspects, I challenge them to think about ATLA episodes like "The Drill" where we see fully mechanized and automated machinery, so LOK's modernization seems like the next logical step. Although Korra's actions at times can be frustrating, she is a teenage girl with the weight of the world on her shoulders. Personally, I appreciate how stubborn she can be as it reminds me of early Book 2 Toph. I loved how they reinvigorated the spirit world and explored the Avatar cycle's beginnings. I definitely recommend the series, Korra shines in her own right.

I watched this film through furrowed brow. And each time I'd relax, some new awkward take on gun control and gang violence would re-furrow it. Although the acting is fine, the movie sends harmful and confusing messages about gang violence. The movie"s protagonist strolls through what I assume to be Chicago's south side to blaring rap music, gunning down criminals and is aptly names a "guardian angel", commiting the same or worse acts as those he puts down. I wonder if this was to show the double standard in America or to solidify it.

The show expertly builds suspense and tension, navigating the murky waters of national espionage with tact and high stakes intensity. However upon second watch, I do feel that the writers are very one dimensional and thier treatment of the shows "villains" another show that I feel perhaps does this better is Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series on Amazon. Bodyguard, from the first episode suffers from the trope that all middle eastern people living abraod are somehow terrorists.
