William Nobles

I love that Makoto Shinkai wrote, animated and produced Voices, himself, and that the voice acting was done by his girlfriend at the time and himself. It's really interesting to watch this, which looks like Nintendo 64 animation, and then watch his more recent works like Your Name, Weathering With You, and A Garden of Words, and to see the similarities in themes, as well as the growth of his very unique style and character development throughout the years. You can watch him grow, witness the evolution of his beautiful animation, and see the interwoven themes of connection across time and space. Shinkai is a true master of a writer and director!
