As a teenager, I worked every Thursday evening constructing the ring in our local small town city gymnasium for weekly wrestling. After the matches, I ordered limos and food while being mentored by people like these cast of characters who willingly offered to get me into the business. My father was a local police officer who worked as their bodyguards.
Almost 50 years later and now a writer, I find myself pondering "what if." For an hour, Heels allows me to imagine a life, family, and career with these wonderful people. I envy the collective relationships they nurtured until a family was born.
