seems like the show doesn't understand any basic physics or laws of space travel. annd the storyline focuses way too much on personal issues of the astronauts happening on earth. there are barely any scenes that actually demonstrate their adventures in space, most of the story takes place on earth, where i get the feeling the show isn't sci fi at all.
