The book is written difficult. The terms of ego and passion are taken to the extreme, in the worst possible meaning.
The author doesn't recognize the healthy ego/self-esteem that is necessary for the healthy development of the individual.
It seems that the main reason he wrote this book was his own failures due to the unhealthy "puffed" ego. But honestly it seemed that he still has it...
The style is similar to the Outliers with examples from real life. But better read Outliers. At least there is a clear interesting story.
And better to read Mark Manson with his easy style and similar but even more profound messages.
