The first half was excellent psychological horror. Then, nothing. None of the โtwistsโ were surprising or intelligent. The second half devolved into clichรฉ monster movie schtick with predictable, unrealistic decisions. The bad guy was bad and gets his comeuppance. The โgoodโ guys refuse to help. The final girl saves herself and stumbles into daylight at the end. The monster(s) dies. I found myself laughing more at the end than any true fear or horror.
