Touching, meaningful and one of the best movies I have seen! It depicts a beautiful understanding between an impressionable young daughter and her imaginative, unworldy father who's life's philosophies aren't in sync with the money mad world. The dreamer succumbs to the challenges of the harsh realities of a soul less world and leaves the daughter heartbroken and helpless by her inability to save Mr. Banks(her father) She grows up to be everything her father couldn't be cold and resilient, but hides a a gentle heart which only peeks through her books and characters. The movie explores how she finally comes to forgive herself and bury the sorrows of her past by acknowledging her years of guilt and resentment which finally sets her free and gives her closure. A poignant tale told brilliantly that deserves a watch.
