I’ve watched and enjoyed many movies; however, Del Toro’s Pinocchio was beautiful. It drives me nuts that Disney has a budget unlike any other company for movies and fails to capitalize on said movies. The live action Pinocchio just falls flat. It tells an altered version of what used to be and just doesn’t sit well. If you have any brain, go watch Del Toro’s Pinocchio on Netflix. It retells the original story with alternative settings and sources for plot and connects it all with a much more satisfying cast and visuals.

It’s okay. By the end, the allegorical becomes very literally the plot. It’s not exactly scary by the end either. It’s just a meh horror movie.
