Fan of the original and fan of this. Loved it. The same visceral thrill as any of the greatest 80s and 90s action and kickass films. JG was arguably cast against type, but it worked perfectly, just as Patrick Swayze did as the nice guy with deadly moves. And anyone berating the use of CGI in this, or indeed in any film, should put their smartphones and computers away and go back to the house phone and typewriter; the future clearly isn't for you. Human interaction is a mostly dull and tedious affair, so a bit of fantasy and escapism is the perfect tonic. Make-believe is as much of what the movies have always been about as storytelling, so shut your yaps on the subject, thanks.
