In that time period when would a woman wear a dress above her ankles? Especially one that was above the knee. For someone who is supposed to be joining the royal family it would be frowned upon do much greater then if she was just a commoner. The dresses themselves were absolutely gorgeous though weren't quite fitting to where the story is based. The story line being Ella wanting to become a successful dressmaker. Well where is her business? She was supposed to go off with Queen Tatiana and be her own personal dressmaker, why didn't she go instead of putting the prince first. When reading the description of the movie I was expecting a nice change from all the princess fairytales, but no it's always still about the prince.
This film was also categorised as a comedy? With all the 'youths lingo' added to it it wasn't remotely funny, it was cringe worthy. It didn't fit with the film at all and didn't need to be included. James Corden (in my opinion) should have stopped at Gavin and Stacy. It seems that every movie I have come across that has him in it is ruined by his bad acting. Even Rob Beckett was better at acting and he hardly did a thing.
Cinderella has been adapted way too many times they should have stopped with the last one which was also one too many, people need to stop butchering the original fairytales.
