Free Reign is a one of the worst shows to watch that exist. If you are happy in life and do not want to become suicidal, then do not watch the show. However, if you are already suicidal, the cringe displayed in the show will soon kill you.
Free Reign is highly unrealistic and many reviews have pointed out the utter lack of effort the producers put into the show as evidenced by fact that they show the main character mastering the riding of horses within a year. I'm no horse rider, but I understand that it would take much more time for a 15 year-old girl to attain the proficiency necessary to perform horse jumps, much less enough to win horse-riding competitions.
The characters are horrible role models for the innocent and naive children who are most certainly the only audience for this unjustly popular show. The girls live on an island with their own horses and everyone bows to their wishes. Summarily, they have a more opportune and enjoyable situation than is for almost every other girl alive. Yet they respond emotionally and ridiculously to problems that many girls only dream of having. I mean, they lose one of the horses that the rest of the world dreams of, and they coerce everyone they know to dramatically ride into a beautiful island on beautiful horses to search for him. The love she has for the horse is childish, sick, and irrational.
Speaking of childish sick and irrational, may I mention the puppy love throughout the entire series? Another prime example of the children's overreactions. They are obviously way too immature for true love, yet the poor viewers can witness them kissing every 47 seconds. And the time in between is spent breaking up. And all of the time is spent bawling.
As for the men? They are as emotional as the girls which as I explained is a lot. For one, they are conveniently obedient and silent whenever it is the girls time to shine in their dramatic scenes. Outside of that, they literally engage in physical fights over their false loves that I also mentioned above.
Every character portrayed as good, set innocent children viewers up for a terrible life if they are at all influenced by the show. Which, as children, they are. The effects of all these attitude should be self-explanatory.
Any single scene in any single episode in the show would each be capable of ruining the best of shows of found in them. I am not sure if I can refrain from thinking that the writers of the show deliberately set to insert as much cringe as possible into every scene.
Is it supposed to be all fakey and imaginative just for the children? I hope not because it majorly involves dangerous puppy love which has much emotion attached to it. And if they wanted it just for the children, that makes the terribleness of the "role models" even more concerning.
