Having seen it for a second time, I can say that the film is beautiful, poetic and very tender yet devastating. It doesn’t take much to ‘take you back’ to those times and how much it hurt but you realise how far we have come and we have survived. Many did not. This is film is must see, it does not matter if you are gay, straight or anything else, it is as much a ghost story as it is a study of the human and the effects of loneliness and depression. The acting is superb and the connection between the main characters is amazing.
