Clarice Lafayette

In watching this movie I found myself disturbed by how predatory Jennifer Lawrence’s character was towards the young man character. I asked myself, if the genders of these characters were reversed would main stream audiences find this funny? No they’d be horrified. So why is it okay when it’s a woman hitting on a boyish looking man repeatedly when he’s saying no? With all the allegations from young fans about the Miranda Sings woman coming out I just couldn’t get into this movie. I should say I would never elect to see this movie by choice anyway, I went as a home support worker but I was uncomfortable watching her forcing herself on this young man while nude only being interrupted by happen stance. I get his character is an adult, but technically he’s still a teen. Also did not enjoy the joke “I’m the guy who slept with our Spanish teacher in highschool but it’s okay we’re married now”.
