Kholo Malebane

The best psychological thriller since Gone Girl. The first act might be a bit slow, but once this movie gets going, it's a damn good movie. The characters are beautifully written especially in the second half of the film. The pacing, again in the second half, is tight and to the point. Nothing is wasted and everything comes together beautifully for an ending that earned my applause. Zoe did a great job 👏🏼. An original script executed with finesse.

If you're hoping for another dose of Hill House, you've got the wrong show. It's much slower and by the time it reaches its crescendo you realise there were some episodes that really were nothing but filler. The character arcs aren't as good as they could've been. The acting was stellar and all the performances brought the characters to life in a beautiful way. I was really looking forward to a much scarier experience, however, this is more of a love story by the end. A lot of the story is disjointed and there are parts that really do seem like after thoughts and the pacing of everything does little to help that.

I don't know how they got it so right. For a Marvel fan this is beyond what anyone could've ever hoped for. This is the single greatest undertaking any studio could've ever tried to pull off and the brains trust at Marvel studios, with the brilliance of Russo's gives you a movie that is an absolute must see for anyone. The pacing is fitting and the story arch for all the characters are beautifully interwoven and concluded. This really does feel like its a point that has taken 11 years to reach. SIMPLY AMAZING!

Captain Marvel is a phase 1 movie in a phase 3 world. The easiest parallel to draw is with Captain America :The First Avenger. There's a lot of ground work going on to establish what this character is about so when she flies into action in Endgame we are all caught up on who she is. It's a good movie really, but in a World where heroes are first introduced in other movies before getting their own solo outing (Wonder Woman, Spiderman, Black Panther, Aquaman) a cold introduction is odd but not entirely unenjoyable. The good thing is like Captain America, there is an amazing sequel in there somewhere to look forward to, if they get the right script and director behind it...

Are there scarier movies? Yes. Are there better movies? Definitely. This is an exciting griping installment in what has gradually become a solid franchise. It's a smorgasbord of all your favourite elements of the conjuring-verse

I really enjoyed unbreakable and James McAvoy's acting in Split was some of the most enthralling acting I've ever seen. Glass is awesome, it's all the best parts of the two previous films with an added dimension in that wet get to see how Mr. Glass's brilliant mind really works. The film is a delight and another good film from a director who hasn't had to many of those in the last decade...

Good not great. The villain really makes the show worth watching, even if it's only too hate her. The characters do things that don't make sense just because it's where the plot needs them to do that. Character development isn't as great as it could be but there is an attempt to move them along somewhat. Season 2 could benefit from a stronger, more streamlined script and plot.
