Absolutely amazing! And this is coming from a person who have always tried watching K-dramas and always lose interest by episodes 2 or 3, but I came across this one one night because I was bored and I just clicked on it because it was suggested to me… and boy was a hooked from the beginning. The acting, the storyline, the ups and downs, the chemistry between the two leads, I binged watched it from start to finish. Now I’m rewatching with my husband and even he can’t seem to stop watching.

I discovered this movie about 5 days ago and I have watched it 3 times already. It's one of the best movies I've seen this year. It was gripping, unpredictable and there were parts that kept me on the edge of my seat. I wish I could give this 10 stars.

A Little Spoiler I actually enjoyed the remake. I loved the in-depth portrayal of the characters. I got to see Prince Eric's background plus the remake went into more detail as to why Ariel wanted to be a part of the human world. Loved Halle's voice, she did an amazing job as Ariel, but Sebastian and Ursula stole the show for me. The actress Melissa did an amazing job and I understand that Ursula is King Triton's sister, which makes Ariel her niece, that was a nice touch. What I disliked about it, was the hair, I wanted to see blazing red hair, (I am a black woman, so I am not hating on the actress, but I was upset that her hair was brown than red). I also never enjoyed Prince Eric's song, I found it cringe, but the biggest disappointment for me was the ending. They took away the wedding scene where they kissed on the boat and King Triton rode a wave and bowed to Prince Eric then hugged his daughter, sending them off with a magical rainbow up above. Anyways, it is still an entertaining watch. I plan on watching it again this coming weekend.
