I believe that the people who rated it with 1 or 2 stars must be biased or compensated to do so, as the quality of this film is undeniable. The storyline is incredibly compelling, weaving together elements of adventure, faith, and personal growth. It's even more meaningful knowing it's a Christian movie, which adds depth and significance to its themes. The narrative is so engaging and well-executed that I feel compelled to emphasize its excellence repeatedly. The acting is superb, with each actor delivering a performance that brings their character to life in a believable and touching way. One of the aspects I appreciate most is how the sibling dynamics are portrayed. The interactions between the characters are realistic and heartfelt, adding an extra layer of emotional depth to the film. My favorite character is Peter; his journey and development throughout the movie are particularly inspiring. The moment when they have to return to their own world is both shocking and bittersweet, leaving a lasting impression. It's also worth noting that it's a bit disappointing that Edmund didn't receive a Christmas gift from Father Christmas. This detail adds a touch of sadness to an otherwise uplifting story, making it more complex and nuanced. Despite this, I would rate this movie an infinite out of 10. If I could experience watching it for the first time again, I would. That's how impactful and memorable it is. I rewatch it annually, and it never fails to captivate me. It's a testament to the movie's excellence that it remains engaging and fresh, no matter how many times I see it. I had high hopes at the beginning because it honestly didn't seem that bad initially. However, as the movie progressed, it became increasingly disappointing. I was hoping it would focus on cousin bonding or cousins saving the world, but instead, they awkwardly included the grandfather. Additionally, the depiction of his wrestling career was incredibly cringeworthy. They forced the stereotype that if you have a wrestling father or grandfather, you also have to wrestle. This was both corny and embarrassing. The acting was subpar, particularly the lead actor's performance. The only character I liked was their female cousin, who was very relaxed. I had hoped the movie would end on an emotional, heartwarming note, but my expectations were dashed when the grandfather started dressing up as a wrestler, even slapping his chest like a gorilla. The movie was so bad that I don't recommend watching it.
