I watched this 16 years later for Tim Olyphant. The story itself is shallow, like it wasn't meant to be deeply meaningful. It had several chances to be good but just when the story seemed headed for something worth remembering, it changed course like it was avoiding complexity. I ❤ Tim Olyphant.

The movie had me spellbound and off-balanced but all came together well at the end. It was an accurate rendition of human nature given specific conditions and the conditions given in this dark tale were both common and unusual. Go watch. Just finished seeing this and I still have to right my brain so.ewhat.

Halfway through the movie and it still isn't keeping me glued. This is obviously a FreeJoeHunt campaign with all the responsibility being heaped on another BBC member. I don't care about the case either way. It's the greedy preying on the greedy. Like, who cares, right? Except that this movie isn't selling anything interesting. Not sure if I'll even finish it with all the incredible (not in a good way) plot holes so far.
