A wonderful book that tells the story of the three generations of a family. The epistolary mode of writing reveals the inner strength and struggle of a woman who has witnessed the dilemma of a mixed race man in America. The central character makes the readers aware of the turmoil that a mixed race man undergoes in the late 20th century.
