Best metal album 2023. Best Sylosis album in catalog. Everything has grown and advanced not the least of which song writing, production, album cohesiveness, vocal nuances, leads and even the effect profile of the leads is so unique on any given track. My only complaints, and these are extremely minor given the overall juggernaut-qualities of this offering, but - some of the effect profiles are a little over the top and become distracting which is a crime when you have someone as good as Josh playing them. Also, "God from the Devil" in Absent sounds off to me. It doesn't play well off the previous line. "Heaven from this hell" is what that line begs for in my mind. Once again, these are so nit picky and minor. This album is a high standard for what CAN be accomplished for metal in 2023 and shows how Sylosis have grown since their last album.

This book is trash. 1/10 would not recommend. It's difficult to read something this biased. However, if you are hard left leaning and enjoy a good echo chamber, you may enjoy it. You will need to endure the author's bland writing style, piling fact on top of fact like an encyclopedia, only drier. Save your money and just watch old re-runs of CNN GWOT coverage circa 2004.
