Watched the first episode with total excitement and the show was a complete👍👍 Every character is sketched in a beautiful way with their uniqueness. From Dr Sid, a cool 3rd year resident who's life mantra is to save lives of poor with 'jugaad' to DrIshani, a 1st year resident with dreams of hope and baggage from her family. Both are brilliant doctors with a mission to save lives yet poles apart in their approach. Dr Shashank as Head Surgeon of Sanjivani brings sheer nostalgia with his entry and a glimpse of sadness with his ailment soon to be revealed. He retains his characteristics from previous Sanjivani series as the best doctor in town and is now a well-known Neurosurgeon who is well opposed to Mr Vardhan, Sanjivani's CFO wanting to commercialise every visit and time on the patient in the hospital. Other residents are good and their stories will be revealed in future but for now Dr Asha adds comic element with her Haryanvi accent is the show wanting to prove her worth. Dr Anjali is introduced as Dr Shashank's daughter willing to be the next CEO for Sanjivani after her dad is about to resign but is upset with him for not realising her potential to be the next chief.
The show welcomes fresh faces yet retains nostalgia with dr Juhi and Dr Shashank. The main theme is to deal with modern day medical challenges of healthcare in India hence the doctors explore possibilities to expand opportunities instead of criticising the set design.
Full marks to the sense of maturity brought in the show by introducing new faces as residents and not dumb interns, unlike DMG, to share strong messages in the storyline with the audience instead jumping around with kiddish love stories. Kudos to the new ways the doctors are shown to deal with medical issues and scenarios in India.
In short the show is a must watch as it gives equal importance to all the characters instead of just focusing on the leads Surbhi and Namit and their romantic angle.
