This is a wonderful story, containing reminders of values that make us better people and that come with Christmas. The religious significance of Christmas is recognized as well as family relationships and the service done for the country by troops who are in far-off places at Christmas. The Christmas Card story points up the importance of always remembering and connecting with those service men and women. The cast, led by Ed Asner, is perfectly placed. Hallmark made this movie in 2006, but it isn't dated at all. We wish that Hallmark would show it more often. We rarely see it on the schedule. We have seen it often and will continue to do so.
