It was just ok -

I agree with the other reviews that there were too many subplots with poor character developments. The cop of the underworld and Beetlejuice's ex wife weren't needed. Or, they should've flushed out the plot to center on one villain - instead of creating several.
The script would've gone further had they focused on the teen boy and Jenna; they then could've brought in Beetlejuice with the underworld cop as the sidekick, to search the underworld for Jenna O. Or, they should've scrapped both the teen boy and underworld cop for the ex wife as the villain. Either way, there wasn't enough consistency or continuity in the plot to hold my attention.
Performance wise, I thought Michael Keaton and Catherine O'Hara did an excellent job. Winona is a great actress but I don't like how melancholy they had her character. And in the last film, Deelia was coming out of her shell and was becoming more social and outgoing - how did we go from that Deelia to the one characterized in the sequel? And there was no change in her behavior throughout the film. I thought at some point Deelia would revert to the person she was at the end of the original film - but that never happened. As for Jenna, she held her own in a solid performance, but I was over the angsty teen schtick 30 min in. I cosign whoever said that this was a continuation of Netflix's Wednesday in some scenes ...
