It's absolutely horrible. First of all, there is not a single likable character. This would be fine if it was done well, but the crude attempts at making the characters feel more "real" by giving them flaws feels forced and makes them insufferable. Furthermore, Theo (the lead) is constantly throwing a pity party and denies being creepy when he is, in fact, very creepy. Could largly be his mustache tbh. This whole movie made me wildly uncomfortable for most of it.
It's like the movie was written by a man to convince women that they're wrong about nice guys. I think he AI is also unnecessary since a better story would have come from a long distance relationship with a similar layout and maybe the ending would have been worth the 2 hours of agony if he could meet her or something. Or maybe if they made a commentary about asexuality and the lengths this man had to go through to find someone accepting (an AI).
This next bit contains spoilers, but this couple is toxic as hell. He feels insecure the second her life doesnt center on him and cant make peace with the fact that she isnt human, neither of them communicate, she straight up ignores him saying hes uncomfortable and coerces him into having a sensual relationship with a total stranger AND she cheats on him with 600 people.
